All of our hardwood shutters are constructed with Select Eastern Cottonwood. Insert more information here about cottonwood.

Louver spacings available include 1 1/2 inches, 2 inches, 3 inches and 4 inches. The louver blades are slightly wider (3/8 of an inch) than the louver spacing. For example, the 2 inch shutters have a 2 3/8 inch louver size. Each of our shutter panels is 1 1/8 inches thick, and utilizes glued mortise & tenon joints, reinforced with recessed screws.

Each louver section contains 2 tension adjustment screws hidden on the side edge of each panel, that allow for continuous louver adjustment over the life of the shutter panels. You will never have a problem with louvers that fall shut. When properly adjusted, the louvers will ALWAYS stay right were you put them.

We utilize adjustable bullet and strike plate closures that are hidden inside of the shutter mounting frame. No unsightly magnets are large strike plates are visible. The bullet closure insures that your shutters will stay closed, and prevents the panels from popping open.

Fully operational Sunburst and Quarterburst shutters are available for arched and quarter round windows.

All of our shutters receive a professional three step finish. Before each finish step is applied, the panel surfaces are prepped and hand sanded to allow for the best possible finish.

  • First, they are dipped in a polyurethane sealer for greater moisture resistance.

  • Next, the panels will get a vinyl primer undercoat.

  • Finally, the custom color matched finish coat is applied using a pre-catalyzed lacquer based paint with UV protectant. Stain matched finishes are available for a slight up charge.

Our standard installation method that we utilize with our shutter panels is a full perimeter frame. This frame is carefully designed to allow your tilt-in windows to function normally whenever possible. Other mounting styles include a frameless installation, and side mounting strips.

We provide professional installation for all of our products at no extra cost.

Other no cost options include:

  • Mid-rails; which provide for independent operation of the upper and lower louvers. Each panel can have 2 or 3 louver sections by adding mid-rails.

  • Louver sections are available with traditional moveable louvers; fixed immovable louvers, or solid raised wood panels.

Guaranteed craftsmanship.
